Happy Monday, Sweets! We hope you had a great weekend – the last weekend before Christmas 2017. Are you ready for the holidays?
Another important question we want to ask is: what did you pick up from last week’s December release? HA! If you’re stuck on ideas on how to create with them, Cassie Tezak has an awesome tip for you!
Hello, crafty friends! It’s Cassie here to share a cute cactus card with you. Say that five times fast!! Today I’m using the two new, sweet sets called Stick Together and Funny Planner Sentiments . What I love about Sweet Stamp Shop’s planner stamps is that they are really easy to use if you’re a card maker. Here’s a look at the card!
Cassie started by stamping the sketchy heart in VersaMark all over an A2 size piece of Neenah Solar White card stock. She filled the whole panel, and made sure to stamp some off the edges so it looked like a continuous pattern. Then she used her gold heat embossing powder to emboss them. Cassie wanted the hearts to pop a little more, so she grabbed three shades of pink Prisma Color pencils and colored each of them in.
I stamped two of the cute little cacti from the Stick Together set on a scrap of Neenah Solar White and used my colored pencils to color them in as well. When I was done, some of my lines were a little lost from the waxy pencils, so I went over them with a Copic Multi Liner. I popped those onto the card panel, and stamped the sentiment “stuck with happily ever after” on some black paper and heat embossed it as well. I trimmed that down and put it just under the cacti.
Isn’t Cassie’s card perfectly sweet? If you’d love to see more of her creations, please check out her Insta here.
