Happy Friday, Sweets! We hope you rounded out your week well — if you didn’t know our March release is TODAY! You can check out all the new stamps in our store HERE. We’re continuing our Contributor Spotlight series today with one of our senior team members, Samantha Mann. If you’ve missed out on reading the previous designers, you can read all about them here:
If you’ve ever admired any of the Sweet projects that have bright watercolors, you were probably ooh and ahh-ing over Samantha’s gorgeous projects! When Samantha creates with watercolors and Sweet Stamp Shop’s stamps – they truly become magical wonders on paper! She’s one of our senior designers and is the queen of puns! She knows how to create her own sentiments using the plethora of Sweet products. With Samantha, if there’s a will, there’s a way! For example – we may be giving away one of her secrets here (don’t kick us), but she’s been known to use tissue paper – yes, tissue paper – on her cards before!
Samantha currently resides in South Carolina, but has lived all over the USA. She has got two adorable little boys that she refers to as her Little Menn (see – she’s at it with the puns again) even though they keep growing. During the day, she works in advertising, but we all know that she loves getting inky and messy in her down time!
We’re sure many of you can relate to Samantha:
I have always loved school supplies (I can remember standing in line in 2nd grade to buy those cute little shaped erasers for 5c each! Ha!) – I actually call school supplies the ‘gateway craft!’ It’s a slippery slope from collecting little kawaii shaped erasers to full on paper crafting is your life! Ha!
I couldn’t live without watercolors and anything mixed media-y! Of course, I’m always looking for ways to incorporate a rainbow into my projects!
Speaking of rainbows… here’s are some of our favorite projects from Samantha:
