Memory Planner and Pocket Scrapbooking – Sparkle

How do you use your planner? Are you a functional planner, decorative planner, or do you use your planner as a memory keeper? Sparkle shows us her colorful layout today and how she uses the pocket pages to document all her adventures!

Hi Sweets, Sparkle here and today I am sharing a pocket scrapbooking layout I made in my planner. I have a group of crafting friends that I originally met online. Over the years, we have grown close and are now the best of friends! With most of us living far apart, we don’t see each other often. This past year, one of our friends in the group moved to Eastern Washington. That gave us a great excuse to have a girls weekend in the Seattle area.

To document our trip, I used a combination of stamps and sticky sweet stickers. I picked a rainbow theme for this week, so I color blocked each day with washi tape and coordinated the pocket page to match as well. Some events we were planned, but for those that weren’t, I went back and added them to my planner. Our first stop after getting into town was getting pedicures and manicures. We ate dinner at a Mexican dinner and shopped at Target. I know we all love hanging out at Target, right?!?

The day after was filled with craft and planner shopping, seeing other friends, and relaxing at our hotel. We decided to do face masks, so I knew Spa Day would be a great stamp set to use for this. The pockets on this sheet are all sized 2 inches by 2 inches, so after cutting some cardstock, I stamped the image and colored her in. I used sticker paper for the cucumber slices over her eyes. I printed and trimmed all of the photos to fit into the pockets as well.

I am a coffee addict and I must have it first thing! We went to the Starbucks Roastery to pick up some exclusive coffee blends and hung out for awhile. Overall, we shopped, ate, drank, and laughed a lot. Trips like this are never long enough and it’s always a wonderful time spent with these ladies. I’m blessed to have such a great group of friends. I love how I have everything documented about my trip in one place and in my planner!
