We are loving all these cute and simple projects the contributors are sharing with you! A couple weeks ago, Amy showed you how to make petite page markers, and today, Samantha is featuring some corner bookmarks.
Hello, Samantha here with you again today sharing some simple and AWESOME bookmarks! These bookmarks are fantastic for planners or books that you’re reading! And the best part is, you can make them CUSTOM to YOU! 🙂 They just slip right onto the corner of your page! Perfect!
Let’s get started! 🙂 I used a LOT of Sweet Stamp Shop sets – you just can’t beat it when they all work SO well together! 🙂 Ha!
I used images from Bright Star, Like a Boss, Lil Moon, Mark It, Spa Day, Bumps and Bruises and Craft Night! 🙂 I also colored up a bunch of images from other sets, because I wasn’t sure which ones I wanted to use! There are so many choices! Ha! 🙂
Ok, so once you have colored your images, it’s time to create the ‘corner’ part of the Corner Bookmark! 🙂
Step 1 – select your patterned paper and cut two pieces of scrap paper into 6cm x 6cm squares
Step 2 – place one of the pieces square in the corner of a your patterned paper and trace lightly
Step 3 – place the second square next to it and trace
Step 4 – move the second square template to the other side of the fist square template you placed down
Step 5 – use a ruler to draw a diagonal line in two of the squares drawn
Step 6 – cut out along the diagonal lines and then erase the pencil lines! 🙂
Step 7 – fold over one of the ‘triangles’
Step 8 – add adhesive and fold over the other ‘triangle’. Easy!
Next is the fun part – add your colored images!!
Once you have adhered your images, you’re ready to get distracted by the cuteness mark your planners and save your spot in your book as needed! 🙂
A few tips: to make this EVEN EASIER – cut the corner from an envelope, add some Sticky Sweet Stickers – DONE!
I hope you enjoyed this fun tutorial on adding extra Sweet to your life! Please be sure to like, love, follow Sweet everywhere (I’m talking Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, people!)! This month is EPIC in the Sweet Stamp Shop, so you’re not going to want to miss a thing! 🙂
