Card Share Lil Moon and Spa Day – Lindsay

Our contributor, Lindsay, is sharing some sweet cards made with the latest July release. I spot that sweet Lil Moon and a cup of lemonade mixed in with some awesome backgrounds that she created. How will you be using your new stamps?

Hello Sweet fans! Lindsay here with you, and I am sharing a couple of cards I created using the new stamp sets from this month!

The Lil Moon mini set is adorable! Of course a moon stamp set is perfect for a galaxy background, right? I took a panel of water color card stock, and added different colors of Ranger Distress Inks. I used Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberries, Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot. Starting with the lighter colors, I blended them on in different spots, and gradually added the darker colors, until I ended with Black Soot.

I flicked on quite a bit of water, and blotted it up with a cloth, and also added droplets of white paint. To finish the panel, I white heat embossed the sentiment, as well as the stars, and then added the moon. The moon was stamped and white heat embossed onto gray card stock, and punched out with a circle punch.

For my next card, I used the super cute set, Spa Day, to create a refreshing summer card!

I began by trimming my card base down to a 4-bar size (3 1/2 x 4 7/8) note card. Next, I masked off the sides, and sponged on more Distress Inks. I used Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Ripe Persimmon, and Seedless Preserves.

I stamped the cute glasses, colored them in with Copic Markers, and adhered them to my card front, along with sequins. I also stamped the Refresh in Onyx Black Versafine Ink.
