Samantha here again, and today I’m sharing a a card I made for the first man in my life: my Dad! The set I used is one of my favorite ‘Dad’ related sets EVER and I’m so glad that the Sweet Stamp Shop brought it back!!
I started by gathering my supplies…I used a few different stamp sets and some I had pulled with the anticipation of being used! The main stamp set was Dad’s Tool Box. But I also ended up using Lock It Up, Taco Bout It and His and Hers!
Next, I took a piece of printer painter and simply sketched out a loose shape of a heart. Then all I did was cut it out! I wanted to get a guide for the heart shape of my card! Easy!
I used a piece of washi to stick the ‘stencil’ to the card front and then used that as my guide to stamp out my images!!! As you can see, I did a practice heart first, just to be sure! I didn’t stick to that design exactly, but it definitely helped in placement on the final card!
I just LOVE those little tools!!! Mostly because they’re SO perfect for my dad, who is a whiz when it comes to fixing or making anything!! 🙂
Once the ink was dry, I stamped the sentiments in black and then did the teensiest tiniest bit ombre watercoloring! I just love the pop of color!
Thanks again for spending time with me, and for possibly looking at the stamps in a new and different way! Be sure to share what you create with the whole Sweet Stamp Shop team!! We LOVE to see what you create! Tag us on Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest!
