Sweet Stamp Shop Scratch Offs

Samantha here, and today I’m sharing a fun little project that I made for my little Menn to enjoy while I was away at CHA! πŸ™‚
I decided to finally make some scratch offs!
They’re REALLY easy to make! All you need is some patterned paper, contact paper, a little dish soap and acrylic paint mix, and of course, your favorite Sweet Stamp Shop stamps!

I just LOVE the cute, lovey and encouraging sentiments from the Smile More stamp set! They are so sweet, and just the perfect little way to let the littles know I was thinking of them while I was away!

So let’s start!

First, I decided to go for a kind of chalkboard look, so I chose some chalkboard patterned paper and heat embossed the sentiment from Mermaid Shelfie in white. Then I used each of the phrases from the Smile More stamp set and heat embossed a little lower on the paper.

Once the heat embossing was cool, I covered up the bottom phrases with a banner shape that I freehand cut from some laminating paper. I ran it through my laminator and set it aside for the next step! If you don’t have a laminator, you could use some clear contact paper, for the same outcome! πŸ™‚

Next up, I mixed 1 part dish soap with 2 parts acrylic paint! Then I painted it on over the banner shape and set it aside to dry! I made sure to let it dry for a good 3 hours before I tested out the scratch off!

So that’s how you make scratch offs!!! They are SOOOO fun! And they are really so easy to make! My boys had a blast and were so excited to scratch off a card each morning before school! I am definitely going to make more!

Thank you for stopping by and sharing you day with me!
