Sweet Happy Little Thoughts

Hello and good morning!
Samantha here again, and today I’m sharing something a little different for you! I created an inspiration layout! Something I can look at when I’m feeling low (read: no crafty mojo!) or just having one of ‘those’ days! Luckily, when I was making this piece, I was FULL of mojo and I had a blast! Ha!

To start, I stamped all of my favorite Sweet Stamp Shop images onto watercolor paper! (Full disclosure, they’re ALL my favorite images…and you’ll see, I stamped and colored a TON! Lol!) For real though, I used 16 different stamp sets! That sounds crazy, right?! I warned you – they’re all my favorite. I love them all! I used Distress Markers to watercolor all of the images.

That was the BEST part! I love watercoloring, and these Sweet Stamp Shop images are perfect for watercoloring! And I had so much fun working on shading, and coloring and blending – it was AWESOME practice, and awesome fun! Once all of the images were watercolored and dry, I fussy cut them out.

Then came some more fun! On a piece of 12×12 white cardstock, I placed all of the images in a loose representation of where I wanted them to belong on the page. I knew my title would be a little higher than center of the page, and I definitely wanted that Unicorn and the School Supplies near the title since I am super obsessed with both at the moment!

Once I was happy with the placement, I adhered the pieces down (popping up a few of the images for some dimension). That’s when I used the new Script Lower alphas…and boy did I use them!

Isn’t this fun?! It’s everything I like – and it’s all watercolored! There is so much happy on this page – it’s a perfect thign to lift me up if I’m in a slump! It’s also a great little list of things to be thankful for (in case I happen forget just how blessed I am!).

So that’s my project – thank you so much for stopping by!

If you made an inspiration sheet, what images would you include? I know most of you would include some coffee for sure! Be sure to follow Sweet Stamp Shop on Facebook to keep up with all of the latest news and happenings in the Sweet world!
Thank you again!!
~Samantha

How do you create a “popped up” image as you mentioned? 🙂 Perhaps a silly question, so apologies if it’s been asked before!
