Pretty Windows

SSS June blog post 5 Card windows that is! Hey sweets, Michelle here. I love when a card has a window that gives you a peek into what’s inside. I do these kind of sequin windows in scrapbooking all the time so I thought I’d share how to easily make a similar one in a card.

SSS June blog post 2 So I pulled together some cardstock & patterned paper that I wanted to use for the front of my card. I used my Spellbinders dies to cut a hole in the front of the card as well as the cardstock so that it would be see through to the inside of the card. For the window I simply used a baggie with some sequins.

SSS June blog post 1 I also wanted to frame the circle on the front of my card so I cut a scallop, then a circle, to create the frame.

SSS June blog post 3 I attached the baggie of sequins to the back of my patterned paper making sure to center it on the circle. I then folded over the extra part of the baggie so it wouldn’t show. If you have a Fuse tool you could easily create the same look with a page protector cut to size but I wanted to share how to do this if you don’t have one. Or, you could stitch it closed with a sewing machine.

Until next time…see you on Facebook & Instagram!
