Patterned Paper Play

Hello It’s Tyra and today I’m going to share an easy technique I use to coordinate a stamped design with patterned paper.  Let’s get right to the card I created:

Coffee Please Card Sweet Stamp Shop JustTyra New

I used several sets to create a scene, including Mr. Octopus, Foodie, and Coffee Town.

Pulling this card together was easy using just one piece of double-sided patterned paper to pull the entire design together.  Let’s take another look at this picture:

The double side patterned paper contains yellows, olive green, a hint of orange and beautiful shades of gray.  Stars and triangles are also contained in the design.  I simply played off of those elements to pull together the design.  This easy technique makes card making fun. Here is another card I created using the same technique:

Can you call out three things in this card inspired by the patterned paper? Also what stamp set is the sentiment from? Please leave a comment below.  Check my personal blog, JustTyra this Wednesday, September 17 where I will reveal the inspiration behind my design, stamp set used for the sentiment and share another card (because this technique IS easy).  I will draw a random person from today’s comments to receive these cards and maybe something a little extra.  And don’t forget that the Sweet Stamp Stop is on Facebook and Pinterest – – choose your adventure! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs, Tyra

vertical alignment of the clothespin matches the alignment of the arrows in the paper. Cup colors drawn from arrow fletching. tag string same color as plus-sign paper. and it ROCKS together!
