Hello and welcome! DoBea here, and I am very excited to be with you today!! I am sharing a layout I made with the Ahoy! kit.

On Cherry Street Ahoy!

I don’t know about you, but I have such an abundance of pictures from this summer and I just can’t wait to get them onto layouts, whether they be traditional or pocket pages.

With this particular kit I was super excited to scrap our annual trip up to Door County in the peninsula of Wisconsin. It happens to be an area of the state that is bordered by the bay of Green Bay and Lake Michigan and is filled with beaches, boats, light houses and tiny islands. The stamps and cards that come in this kit fit perfectly!! On Cherry Street Summertime Lovin'

I’ll start with sharing the full layout and then go into the details of the page.

The first thing I did before starting to put the page together was grab that cute little wood anchor embellishment and color it with a red Copic marker. I love to color on wood!

I then took some Stickles and rubbed it onto the anchor and set it aside to dry.IMG_3066

Here is a close up of the anchor dry and on the page.

Next, I took my craft mat and a couple more colors of Stickles and made some dots and also put those to the side to dry.IMG_3055

Then I went back to the first bottle of Stickles and made a few dollops onto the base of the layout. (I laid out the pictures and cards about where I wanted them and marked the spots to put them back on when everything was dry.)

Using the nozzle of the bottle I dragged it through the liquid to make a splatter pattern.IMG_3061

Here it is finished but still wet.

The next day, after everything was dry, I placed all of the remaining items on the layout. I gently scraped the dried dots off of the craft mat and using micro glue dots, placed them around the page.

Here is a close-up of the dried splatter and dots.

The last thing I did to add some extra jazz to the layout was stamp all of the various arrows that comes in the stamp set around the pictures and cards.IMG_3044

I hope you enjoyed today’s layout and if you happen to use any of these techniques with your Sweet Stamp Shop items, I hope you decide to share them with us over on the Sweet Stamp Shop Facebook page!
