Hi, Jen Boumis here today sharing a page in an album very personal to me using the On Cherry Street: Reflections kit. For months now, I’ve had an idea percolating. At 39 there was an urgency to document the life changes of the past decade: travel, finding love, body transformation, marriage, motherhood, saying goodbye to a career and hello to a new home. Big role changes requiring big reflections. This kit? A perfect starting point.
The opening page of my album was shared in the post for the kit launch: here. Today I’m sharing a page with my thoughts on motherhood.
Any mom reading this will get the octopus reference right away! So many roles for one person, so little time. It’s the truth and also documented a bit tongue in cheek. But, go deeper. Lift up and reveal what’s under those surface jobs and you’ll see the hopes, concerns and dreams I have for my three babies.
As a list maker, I love the Reflections stamp set. Perfect prompts to set the tone. For this card, under my flip, I decided to use watercolor pencils and a water pen to add touches of color to match the rest of the layout. Here’s a brief video demonstrating how to achieve the same effect:
