Filofaxes, dashboards & planner dividers

Hi, it’s me Evelin here to share a blog post with you today 🙂 As some of you may know, I am a toddler mum with no family around to help (my nearest family is in Memphis and my parents & the rest of my family are all the way on the other side of the world), so you can imagine how being organized and keeping a schedule is imperative for me… haha. I feel that being a mum has made me manage my time better (do other mums agree?)

Prior to this, I just made lists in random notebooks and it’s really messy. Things get done but it’s just not what I felt comfortable with. Then I caught the planner bug (which is going around, it seems.. haha) and bought my first Kate Spade Wellesley planner. It was on a huge discount else I would not have purchased it.. really.

So, I wanted to personalize my planner and decided to make a dashboard, dividers and a ruler for it. And you know, the stamps from Sweet Stamp Shop is perfect for this! See, I always say the stamps here are super versatile.. so much mileage from all the fun sets 🙂

IMG_2548I traced and cut out the planner dividers from the ones that came with my planner. Cutting around the tabs proved to be quite stressful. Very small angles… I wish someone made a die-cut to to cut out planners.. haha.. Then I chose the stamps I wanted to use. As you can see, I have a little stash of images I stamped, colored, cut and ready to be used.

IMG_2550I then used Heidi Swapp’s color shine in Mustard and sprinkled on the dashboard. It’s the only piece that I am going to decorate for now. I am keeping the rest as it is because I think they are pretty enough. Besides, I may be sticking post-it notes and what-nots on them, so keeping them bare is the way to go for me now. But if you like it embellished with your favorite stamped images, quotes, etc.. feel free to go ahead 🙂

IMG_2552I chose the elephant and heart balloons from the Elephant Hearts set that I designed and stuck them on the dashboard.

Then I ran the dashboard and dividers through a laminator. Laminating your dashboard and dividers will help keep them sturdy and last longer. You can keep them un-laminated too but as these are paper, it might tear easily.

IMG_2584I made a ruler as well so that I can get to any page easily in my planner 🙂 It’s a little harder to photograph them once they have been laminated as they become ‘shiny’.. haha.

IMG_2583So, there you go. You can make your own customized planner dashboard, ruler and dividers with pretty stamped images from Sweet Stamp Shop now 🙂

And these are the sets I used:

And if you have not followed us on Instagram or liked us on Facebook yet, do so! Lots of inspirations all the time.

Have fun! Till next time.

Your dividers are so cute! Love the color scheme! I think I’m going to have to join this planner craze too. I still make random lists on stickies and notebooks.. and like you mentioned, things don’t always get done or they get missed. But all of these cute planner projects having been so inspiring! TFS! 🙂

Love your planner! You chose awesome colors and cute stamps. I also think I want a planner, but somehow I never carry through, but I certainly love looking at all the darling ideas going about.
