Hello sweet fans! Michele here, from It’s About the Paper. Whew, I finally got my hands on the Foodie stamp set, it’s been a popular one! Did you see that Sweet Stamp Shop restocked most sold out stamps over the past week — you might want to head over and get Foodie or some of the others before they are gone again!
Here’s why I wanted this set — so I could use the stamps to spruce up a recipe book kit that’s been sitting in my stash:
It’s a pretty cute kit cute as-is. But to really make it my own, I added stamped images and sentiments to the recipe cards, and did some coloring. I kept it simple, mostly stamping in the corners or at the top, leaving plenty of room to write down recipe details.
After preparing the recipe cards, I simply added washi tape and chipboard letters to the divider pages.
Then all that’s left to do is to write out recipes and put the book together. I love projects like this that involve your own handwriting. I have a few of my grandma’s old cookbooks, and I love seeing her handwritten notes on the pages. So don’t be afraid of using your own writing, you never know who will appreciate it down the line!
