Scrapbooking and Documenting Homeschool Projects

Heather here wishing you a “happy hump day” from vacation. My family and I are enjoying our annual Greenwood family reunion this week and this is our first year at a new location after over 50 years up in Wisconsin. It’s a nice little break from homeschool and just having fun with my husband’s extended family.

Speaking of homeschool, I am a homeschooling mama and I LOVE it! I love watching my kids grow up and learn right before my eyes. I love explaining things to them and then watching their eyes light up the moment they “get it”. We try to make learning fun and for the most part it is. Writing and dictation are probably our least favorite things to do. Well, I love writing, my kids think it’s a chore, LOL.

Recently, we had some “Fun With Magnets” as part of our curriculum and the boys actually wanted to participate. We had a BLAST! I do weekly documenting of our everyday life with weekly pocket pages. I really try to make sure I take some photos of our homeschool week to include in our album. It’s been so fun to watch them grow through the years and all the fun science experiments they get to do. Science is probably my favorite subject to photograph!

I have fallen madly in LOVE with the Enjoy Calligraphy stamp set! The quotes are just too perfect for our everyday life and homeschooling. I really thought they were just too perfect for the photos I took of the kids playing with the magnets this past week. I love that they are clear stamps, so I can put them on top of the photos as I’m planning out my page and see if they will fit and not look awkward or cover anything important.

We also went out one night to catch lightning bugs and I thought the stars in the set were too perfect for some gold stars across the top of the photo.

Do you have any fun projects or activities you like to photograph, or special annual events you like to do every summer? I’d love to hear them and how you document them. You can follow my weekly pocket scrapbooking projects on my blog every Monday. I’ve also been known to post some photos on Instagram too.
