Hello, friends! Today Anna here today and I want to share with you a card I created with a castle. This is one of my favorite stamps now, because it has so many hidden possibilities in it! Depending on the order in which way you color it, you can get a completely different effect. Do you love fairy tales? Oh, this castle makes me to remember my childhood days!
This time I did an imitation of natural stone. I painted castle with grey color, then added shadows. I chose the brick hue color for the roof, as in the old castles of fairy tales. For greater realism, I added accents in a pattern tile roof and stone paths with fine brush with darker paint that make up the wall.
Then I made the basic composition of the card. I went through a lot of backgrounds before chose this paper. It goes well with the color of the walls. For the background, I chose a sheet with triangles and for the strip with castle I chose neutral colors to highlight the main elements of the composition.
I also put the castle on the “ground” by the paper in a small flower. And since my castle still has a little magic, then I added the “magic” using mists. I used my mists by Heidi Swapp and brushed paint with sticks.
Sentiments also play a big role in the card. At the top I put the word “Happy”, and added its shadow with stamping by third generation (after I made a stamp of red ink, did not re-ink it, then put the second print on draft, and then stamped again, shifting slightly to create a shadow for the word) . On a small white piece of cardstock, I stamped the word “adventure” and placed it so that the paper went beyond the boundaries of a background. It gives more dynamic to the card.
