Pocket Scrapbook Cards Make Easy Greeting Cards

Hi there, Sweet friends! I hope you’re having a great start to your weekend. It’s Thanh here with you today and I’m going to show you just how easy it is to incorporate pocket style scrapbook cards into every day greeting cards using the Sweet Stamp Shop images.

Recall the pocket scrapbook layout I made for the second June release:

I’m going to be quite honest with you: I made this layout just to showcase the June stamps! I’m embarrassed to admit that I haven’t been camping in years and have no photos to scrapbook. So it turns out, I actually couldn’t and wouldn’t use these cards at all. But then a thought came to me; what if I recycled them into greeting cards!

YAY! Problem solved. I’ve now added two more cards to my stash and the best part is that because I a) live in the Pacific Northwest, b) have tons of friends who are fellow outdoors people and 3) the cards are gender neutral – I’ll have no problem giving these away!

For my next card, I had to remove the brad and trim down the sides a little to proportion the card properly. That’s okay! I would have probably “wasted” more paper had I used a new piece of patterned paper or cardstock. Pocket scrapbook cards – being only 3×4 or 4×6 in size are already the perfect size for your A2 or 5R cards. Trimming is totally ok!June Release 2 Campout Card 2 June Release 2 Campout Card Both

Easy peasy, right? Pocket scrapbook cards are so awesome at boasting your image(s) and creating a focal point on your card.

I know you have hundreds (if not thousands) of pocket cards laying around in your craftroom… won’t you give them a chance? For further inspiration or to link up your pocket scrapbook card projects, head on over to our Sweet Stamp Shop FACEBOOK page!

Speaking of pocket scrapbook layouts and coordinating images… here’s a sneaky peak of what’s been going on behind the scenes of Sweet… How’s that for making easy projects!

I also wanted to mention that if you recognize the layout in one of the cards above, it’s because I used the current Seize the Sketch layout:

Have an amazing weekend and I’ll see you soon again! <3 Thanh
