Sweet and Easy Cards – Plus Freebie!

Hello to all of my sweet friends, Colie here again!  Summer is coming, is everyone excited?  In the summer months I love to keep everything quick, easy, and stress free!  I am sure you can all understand that feeling!  So here I am with a quick and easy way to send cards even if you are not a cardmaker and/or you have no time.  Pocket cards to the rescue!  They make the perfect quick card because they are double sided.  I just added a couple sweet stamps and they are ready for a quick note.  I love this!

This one was a perfect “thank you” for a friend who helped me out.  No note even needed, she will know!

Seriously, all I did was stamp “Gemme Yo Digits” from the awesome Mr. Octopus set (I also used on the last card) and the back was all ready for a little note whenever I want to send it, so easy!

Busy_Octopus__78199.1397482354.386.513card1Okay, so you get the idea, there are pretty much endless possibilities with this idea!  I pulled out all of my Sweet Stamp Shop stamp sets and made a whole stack ready to send out this summer including thank yous, happy birthdays, and thinking of yous!

To make it even sweeter I made up a whole batch of envelopes that are sized just perfect for using with 3×4 cards and I want to share my cut file with all of you! Download HERE!

2014-04-24 11.58.27All you need to assemble these (after cutting them on your cutting machine of choice) is a bone folder (OR the dull side of a dinner knife), a scoring board (I just use my regular old cutter!) and some adhesive of choice.

2014-04-24 11.51.23I scored the lines where and wanted to fold, from the four corners that are formed by the flaps of the envelope.

2014-04-24 11.53.15Fold up the longer bottom flap and put adhesive on the two triangular side flaps.

2014-04-24 11.53.32Fold over the side flaps and you are DONE!  I have made a big pile of these, they are addictive!  And a great stash buster!  I have a good chunk of scraps that are 7″ or 8″ wide that work really well for this project.  And the 3×4 cards fit PERFECT!

2014-04-24 11.55.44Okay, sweet friends, this is not “good bye”, this is “see you later”!  In the meantime let me know if you plan on using this cut file below, I love to hear from you!  Don’t forget to “pin” and “share” with all of your friends who might like this too!

I’ve been making my own cards and participating in swaps. I love this envelope!! I usually make between 3 and 5 extra cards, and I’ve been sending them out as RAKs…these darling little envelopes will be PERFECT for that!
