Pinterest Inspired + Adding Color to Vellum!

Hello! Samantha here, and I’m so excited to share another card that I found on the Sweet Stamp Shop Pinterest boards! (You knew the Sweet Stamp is active on Pinterest, right? Ok, just checking! I’m jist saying, you need inspiration? That’s where to find it!)

Today, the card I’m sharing is SO gorgeous! and SO lovely! I could look at it all day!

It is by the incredibly talented, nice and amazing Charlene Bopp!

Yeah, you’re in love, I can tell! What’s not to love? the ‘bokeh’ effect with the hearts, the warm greys with the pops of pink, and the stitching all make this such a darling and romantic card! *swoon*

My cards today are a total CAS of that amazing card! They both use three Sweet Stamp Shop stamp sets:

For my first card, I decided to channel the color scheme of the card  – greys and pinks and softness and overall loveliness!

oh hello (hippo) card 2 - ls, watermark

All of the images were colored with copic markers, fussy cut and popped up! I hand drew the strings around the hippo! 🙂

The cloud border was die cut out of vellum, and then I very lightly added some distress ink! I am LOVING this technique right now – distress ink + vellum = a VERY happy me! lol!

To finish the cards off, I stitched on the sentiment I created from Alpha Tabs (they were stamped and cut individually).

LOVE it!

The other card I created is very similar to this one, but instead of the pink/grey tones I went with bold and happy colors!  You can see it on my blog here!

What do you think? Are you ready to check out some more inspiration from the Sweet Stamp Shop pinterest boards? I think so!! Oh, hey, and if you do – leave me a comment with a card you would like to see me CAS!! That would be so FUN!! I would LOVE to do that!

Thanks again – can’t wait to see what you want me to try out!

~Samantha

Always happy when there are ideas for using vellum. I think it’s fun to work with but I never seem to have ideas. Love the card with the flying hippo. the fox is darling too.
