cards two different ways!

Hi all, it’s Amy T here sharing a fun card project!

SSS crafty supplies

I’ve been using my acrylic block as a work surface for my distress inks and reinkers that I have been using on projects.  Here is a picture of a smidge of Delicata Golden Glitz reinker that has been slightly watered down.

SSS note card delicata

I take my card base and smoosh in onto the block.   I wish that I could capture the sheen of the Delicata on the note card on the right.  It really is quite stunning but very clean & simple.  The note card on the left I swiped the Distress stain on the card {after I watered down the card with water}.

TIP: If you don’t have a die to cut the note cards, just cut watercolor paper down to 3×4 and use a corner rounder.

In an attempt to make things postal friendly, I didn’t put any dimensional adhesive behind the fussy cut banner from Monogram It.

Did you notice the colors?  Purple & Gold.   I know several friends that are University of Washington fans , their colors are, yup, Purple & Gold (Go Huskies!).

You can easily package up the diecut notecards for a gift:

They are a great size to slip into a lunch bag or briefcase.

The other option is to adhere the diecut to card bases:

I’m a fan of small touches, did you see that I heat embossed some blooms to the panel?  I used white embossing powder so it might not be instantly noticeable, but that’s what makes it special, eh?

The Elegant Flowers set is definitely a must have.  The beauty of this set that they have outline and solid image blooms, love that feature!

So, what do you think?  How did you enjoy the March Release #2?  What are your favorites?
