Happy Owloween Card Set!

Good Morning! Kelly here to share a simple but cute card set with you.
So as much as I try to deny that Summer is over and Fall is here it’s just not working 🙁 I’m so not ready for this cold dreary weather, yuck!
One of the few bright spots about fall is all the adorable Halloween stamps sets that are out there to play with. You know I am a big fan of mixing and matching stamp sets to get the most out of my goodies but I have to be honest sometimes it’s really nice to sit down with a set that already has everything you need. Halloween Owlfits is one of those sets for me. Large images: check, Background builders: check, Super cute sentiment: check 🙂
Sets like this make it really easy for me to create a card set so that’s exactly what I did hehe!
I created the pattern strip by rubbing on wild honey, spiced marmalade, and rusty hinge. The moon was stamped in wild honey. When I do strips like this I always stamp my background image in the lightest color. I feel like the variation of the background blending gives it some added interest. After I stamped the cat on a white circle I decided I wanted to give it some eyes. I used enamel accents to do that.
This strip was made using scattered straw, mustard seed, and wild honey. I colored the bats using iced spruce then trimmed them out.
The spiders were colored using the iced spruce before being trimmed out and added with dimensional adhesive. this strip is crushed olive, peeled paint, and forest moss.
Hehe I just love this Melvin vampire! Again I colored with iced spruce. I really wanted his eyes to be white and shiny so I used enamel accents again. *Tip* enamel accents is great for creating dots it’s much more difficult to get a clean edge using  it the way I did for the whites of the eyes. However, once you put it down you can clean up the edges by pushing it gently with your fingernail. This panel is stormy sky, faded jeans, and chipped sapphire.
Last but not least the FAB-ulous Vernie. I colored her with the iced spruce and made her background with victorian velvet, seedless preserves, and dusty concord. Every character on each card got a healthy dose of stardust stickles for some shine!
I love choosing a layout I love then creating a card set. You can pre-cut all your pieces so everything goes together super fast! Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you found something to inspire you 🙂
XoXo
Kelly
